REC Solar Panels

REC use polysilicon in their solar panels, and they turn it into wafers. These wafers and then turned into solar cells, and the solar cells become solar panels. The type of solar cell that is sold by REC are polycrystalline, also known as multi-crystalline. The solar panels that they produce are both durable and reliable. This is proven by the fact that out of the three million PV modules sold by REC in one year, only 300 were returned to the company.

Features and Efficiency

The REC solar panels are able to deliver efficiency rates of 16.1%. The REC panels also cone with a robust and durable design, especially in the case of the frames, which are made from anodised aluminium. In addition to this, the solar cells are made to cope with all weather conditions and able to capture sunlight even in conditions of low light, such as sunset, sunrise, and cloudy weather. All of the panels also come with solar glass that measures 3.2mm thick. This has been designed with anti-reflection and surface treatment. While the depth of the panels is impressive, the maximum snow load is only 550 kg/m2, and the maximum wind load is 244 kg/m2.

Warranty

REC’s solar panels come with a 25-year warranty for the power output. What this does is guarantee that your REC solar panel will perform in exactly the way you expect it to each year, for 25 years. When we compare this with other solar panels on the market, it is clear that EC provides their customers with the most security when they purchase their panels. For the first year, they guarantee that you will have a minimum of 97% output. This is an amazing and currently outmatched figure. This will continue to decline by 0.7% each year, and at the end of the 25-year period, the module will operate at a minimum of 80% output. In addition to this, REC also offers a 10-year warranty for the product. Find our more about Solar Panel warranty and maintenance.

Conclusion

The main reason that EC solar panels really stand out is because of the warranty they offer. The guaranteed output of 97% is the highest on the market. Plus, when we compare them to other polycrystalline models that are available, REC has managed to design an impressive 38mm thick solar panel. When you choose a REC solar panel, you know that it will make the most of your investment.
