REH editorial starter discussion. Prepared by REH to invite genuine community replies. REH starter discussion — UK. A standard air-to-water heat pump does not usually deliver hot water instantly in the same way as a combi. The design commonly needs hot water storage. Ask the installer to assess available space, household demand, cylinder access and the proposed hot water arrangement before pricing the job. A system that heats the rooms well still needs to meet your bathing and showering needs. Join the discussion: How many people use hot water, and is there any existing cupboard or utility space? Suggested next step: Include the hot water and space assessment in your heat pump enquiry.
