It may be. Check the depth, material, coverage and condition before choosing a top-up. Around 270mm is a common mineral-wool reference, not a universal depth for every product or roof. Ventilation, access, electrical fittings and any damp need attention too. Ask for the proposed specification and the difference it should make compared with your existing insulation.
