Ask for backup capability to be specified explicitly in the quote. Storage capacity and backup provision are different things. For example, Tesla’s UK system guidance distinguishes whole-home backup design and the gateway equipment used with it. Ask your chosen installer which circuits would remain powered, the power limit, reserve setting and additional equipment required. Do not assume one manufacturer’s arrangement applies to every battery.
