Use our UK solar photovoltaic (PV) calculator to determine the ideal system size for your needs and estimate how much you could save on your energy bills.
To get started, we'll need some basic information about your home and energy consumption. Don't worry if you don't have exact measurements. We will then provide a PDF download of the results to assist you in the quote gathering process.
The calculations are estimated, designed to give you an idea of potential savings. You will need a tailored quote from a qualified industry professional for site specific calculations.

Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) kWh Calculator
Two of the questions in our calculator relate to trends in your energy usage. We use this information to estimate how much of the energy generated by your solar panels is consumed within your property and how much is exported back to your energy provider, in return for the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) tariff.
The Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) is a UK scheme that requires electricity suppliers to offer payments to small-scale low-carbon generators for the electricity they export to the National Grid.
This scheme applies to solar PV systems, but SEG tariff rates can vary significantly. Our page on How much do Solar Panels Cost includes a table of current SEG rates and requirements.
