REH editorial starter discussion. Prepared by REH to invite genuine community replies. REH starter discussion — Great Britain; supplier and meter eligibility apply. Compare the whole bill using when you actually consume and export electricity. Cheap overnight units may be offset by a higher daytime rate, standing charge or less attractive export terms. Test realistic schedules and include any equipment losses. A tariff that suits an EV owner who can charge overnight may not suit a household with heavy evening demand. Join the discussion: Which loads can you move, and do you have half-hourly consumption data? Suggested next step: Request a combined tariff and system-cost comparison before buying additional equipment.
