REH editorial starter discussion. Prepared by REH to invite genuine community replies. REH starter discussion — UK. Start with how much electricity you could realistically charge into it and use later. A battery can shift surplus solar or cheaper grid electricity to another time, but capacity alone does not establish value. Ask the installer to explain usable kWh, charge and discharge power, expected losses and the usage assumptions behind the recommendation. Compare a smaller option as well as the proposed size. Join the discussion: How much electricity do you use after sunset, and what battery sizes have been quoted? Suggested next step: Compare a solar-only option and two battery sizes against your actual demand.
