Established in 2010, Black isle Renewables has grown into a multidisciplinary team of renewables experts. We take a holistic approach to each project, listening to clients is key to understanding problems and challenges. Our aim is provide a personal service that explains all of the renewable energy solutions available and advise which would most benefit clients.
The process of installing renewable energy systems can be daunting, however we’ll attempt to help you understand what we need to know to provide you with the best solution.
Firstly we’d want you to have a think about your home, insulation is king, if you have good levels of insulation then any heating system will need less input to heat your home. There are government incentives and if you contact your local council or energy supplier they can point you in the right direction.
We need to calculate the amount of energy your home is losing every day, through the walls, ceiling roof and windows, we either need to visit your home or we need to see the plans for your new home to enable us to do this. This is a free service so please call us to make an arrangement.
When we know how much heat your home is losing then we can size a heat pump to suit, this is a critical factor. There are many stories about heat pumps not working, on investigation 99% of these will be incorrectly sized or badly installed. We are MCS accredited (Micro renewable Certification Scheme), this means that once the system is fitted you will have a certificate that allows you to claim the governments Renewable Heat Incentive.
Our team of installers will need 2-3 days to fit a new system, you will be without heating and hot water for about 24 hours. The fitters are our employees and have all undergone rigorous manufacturers training and are all either time served plumbers, heating engineers or electricians. Our training and accreditation means that we can offer extended warranties, we are the Nibe VIP installer for Scotland and can offer a 7 year warranty on all of their products. We are also Mitsubishi ServiceNET Partners (the highest level) and can also offer 7 year parts and labour warranties on all their Ecodan heating products.
We will commission the system and you will receive a full hand over pack, This will allow you to claim any government grants or incentives. Our engineer will run through the controls of the system and leave you with the manuals, we are always at the end of the phone should you need further help.
Finally we offer a full service maintenance contract, we explain this at the installation and commissioning stage and we’ll contact you each year to make an appointment.
