REH starter discussion — UK; supplier tariff terms apply.
It may help if you can charge at a lower price and use the stored electricity when rates are higher. The saving must cover energy losses, installation cost and eventual replacement. Compare a full year of bills with and without the battery using the proposed tariff, including its daytime rates and standing charge. A large cheap-versus-peak price gap alone is not a payback calculation.
Join the discussion: What are the proposed tariff rates, installed battery cost and expected annual savings?
Suggested next step: Request a written whole-bill comparison before buying storage.
